Gambier Island is a little known retreat and the locals want it kept that way. That's why I'm telling everyone about it and
how to get there and other practical information. Go on! You won't find any candle-making hacky sack-playing vendors here,
nor will you any dreamcatchers to purchase. There aren't even any roads much less cars. Accessible only by water taxi, private
boat or small ferry, Gambier is an idyllic piece of land on the West Coast.
Blue Heron Cove, where Paul and Craig's cabin is located, has been the site of relaxing and raucous getaways for many of their
friends, except for when Jow holds her spiritual retreats.

The cabin consists of the main house, the dock house and the dome house in the back. In a pinch, the overflow can be accommodated in the ramshackle cabin on the property next
door. (N.B. That was many years ago. Who knows, Craig could have built a guest house for Jow by now)
Rules are fairly straightforward: Turn the generator off, don't let the water run, and at the end of your stay, grab a broom
and sweep. Meal times are lovely affairs brimming with wine and guest chefs trying to outdo one another with glorious concoctions.
