THE WHISTLE BLOWER

Fingerless Whistle
For the fingerless whistle, you rely on your muscles in your lips, cheeks, and jaw. Since this technique requires greater
control of those muscles, it may be easier to master the fingered whistle first (next month's article), and then move on to
the fingerless method.
Start off with a fairly gentle blow and remember, DON'T FLUBBER YOUR CHEEKS.
Listen for the following: the sound you'll start with will sound as if you're letting air out of a tire. Every now and then,
the clear and full tone will come through, and you'll know that it's only a matter of time before you're hailing every pet
and taxi in your community.
If you can't produce any sort of whistle at present, maybe just loud wheezing sounds, you may want to try the fingered whistle
first. Some say it's easier than the "no-hands" technique; others say they are equally easy (with practice.)

The World Needs More Patch
I'll readily admit I am one of those people who speak to dogs as if they're human. There are many times I prefer being with
furry four-legged canines than with a stinky person who has too much to say, takes too long to say it, and gives me a headache.
I'm sure everyone has been alerted to Patch the Wonder Dog's appearance on Dogster. He's only been up for a day and he's already been viewed over 90 times and corralled twice. Yes, I am a doting fool. No
matter.
Shanghai Alley is my favourite. I feel like a character in the movie of my dreams each time I get to cross the threshold.
The scene is part of the exposition--possibly even the intro. The character is relaxed, cool, confident, happy, important,
about to meet friends, and in a bustling urban environment. There are no weddings in this movie.
